Zur Unterstützung dieser Dynamik launched mdeg im Rahmen der Kampagne “2020 – Year of Digital Innovation” das mdeg Starter-Kit.

Das Angebot: Die digitale Anbindung eines Medizingerätes unter Laborbedingungen in 7 Tagen. Dafür nutzt das Starter-Kit Elemente der bereits etablierten mdeg Connectivity Solution wie zum Beispiel deren Hardwareschnittstelle, Medical Device Cloud und Dashboards zur Inwertsetzung der gewonnenen Daten.

Die digitale Anbindung medizinischer Geräte stellt viele Hersteller vor große Herausforderungen. “Dafür stehen die vielen “Ja, aber” Antworten vieler Akteure der Branche, wenn es an die Umsetzung der Digitalisierung gehen soll” so Dr. Christoph Beck, CEO von mdeg. “Meist geht es dabei um regulatorische Unsicherheiten, technische Herausforderungen, fehlendes Know-How oder die grundlegende Frage: Wie kann ich mit der Digitalisierung des eigenen Medizinprodukts zusätzlichen Mehrwert generieren?” so C. Beck weiter.

Digitalisierung von Medizintechnik realisieren und anfassbar, erfahrbar machen und damit “auch ein bisschen die Scheu zu nehmen”, so beschreibt C. Beck daher die Idee hinter dem neuen Produkt der Firma. Benötigt wird ein Medizingerät des Kunden und ein technischer Ansprechpartner. Innerhalb der 7 Tage wird dann nicht nur das Medizingerät digital angebunden, “wir realisieren zudem drei vom Kunden gewünschte Use Cases wie zum Beispiel Pay-per-Use, Digital Twin oder System Health Monitoring und packen noch drei Monate kostenlosen Zugang zu unserer Medical Device Cloud obendrauf. Damit können unsere Kunden den Mehrwert ihrer digitalisierten Geräte tatsächlich erfahren und sehr früh umfassendes Feedback intern und von Kunden einholen”.

Die Realisierung dieses Versprechens verlangt exakte Planung und Koordination von beiden Seiten. Daher bietet das Unternehmen die “Digitalisierungswochen” auch nur in begrenzter Zahl an. Da jeder Kunde ein anderes Medizingerät angebunden haben möchte, sei es jedes Mal aufs Neue eine große Herausforderung. “Genau das macht es für uns aber auch so besonders. Da heißt es in einer Woche alles geben und gemeinsam hacken. Eigentlich genau das, was jeder Techi will” fügt C. Beck mit einem Lächeln abschließend hinzu.
